Honestly sick of people telling me they "have to" stay on X "for the reach."

"It's where the people I need to reach are." No, it's not. You can bring them here.

"The people I want to follow are there." You can bring them here too.

Lots of other people have. You can too.
This has always been a Bluesky-first campaign. But as of today, we will no longer be using Twitter. At all.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

Having read lots of Nassim Nicholas Taleb, I'm super conscious of the fragile future these techbros want to usher us into: If society's operation depends on 100% uptime, that's a BAD PLAN. These folks don't live in reality and we shouldn't listen to them.
An hourslong power outage in San Francisco over the weekend that caused tens of thousands of households to lose electricity also knocked out Waymo service. The self-driving cars came to a halt and blocked traffic, angering drivers of regular vehicles.

The self-driving cars came to a halt at intersections when the power outage knocked out traffic signals, causing tie-ups but no accidents or injuries.

Just as we shouldn't be surprised that government sucks when the people who hate government take over, we shouldn't be surprised that the news sucks when people who hate journalism take over. But it does present an opportunity to show people an alternative.

Private company wants to put up space mirrors that can beam 'full noontime sun' to anywhere on the night side of Earth. I might be OK with preemptive shoot downs of these satellites rather than allow this to become an unregulated real industry

Will can't comprehend that good people are watching what American "leadership" is up to - destroying public health, public education, and immigration, and divorcing us from global markets - and predicting that it will cause massive economic upheaval in the future? Seems pretty explicable to me.
I’m sorry but you just cannot explain this. You can’t. It can’t be done. It defies comprehension.

When you're wondering, "why are they so intent on creating this world where you can't figure out what's true and what's not," this is why. Power makes anything true now.

"Industry." It doesn't create anything or offer anything other than the promise of gains without work, which we all know isn't a thing. There's nothing there and people know it and they've run out of rubes.

They're basically making "politics" so repellent that no one wants anything to do with it, allowing them to take advantage of and hurt the most vulnerable among us. It's vile and we must resist it by wrenching power away from them by doing the work they won't ever do to help people.
