The headline is insane, although the story takes a serious look at how mission-driven news organizations that are in financial trouble are cutting pay rather than positions.

In a perfect world, nonprofits shouldn't have paywalls because they're already receiving tax advantages in order to advance their public service mission. But we don't live in a perfect world.
