How dumb do they think people are? Have they ever been on a boat?

People down in Southern Maine, come out and hear some twang at the Kittery Dance Hall:

Yes, I'm the chair of the appropriations committee and have been in the senate for decades, but I'm just a smol little senator and adulting is hard.

When can we please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD stop acting like polls have any validity whatsoever. They are all garbage at this point and we must stop treating the data like it has any value whatsoever. These two polls were released in the same week!

Do they even teach the upside-down triangle anymore?

The story is about recalled cannabis. It's a product you can buy. The only way you could possibly identify it is by the brand name. AND YET, the brand name is not in the hed, deck, or first two paragraphs. What are we doing, @pressherald.com?

Oh, and update: Meta is now wondering if I might be into older women?
December 1, 2025 at 11:03 PM
You're going to want to put this on the calendar so you don't forget.

Am I doomed to get this message until the end of time? So tired of paying for a service and being shown intrusive ads at all times. No, I don't want your AI garbage!
December 1, 2025 at 5:28 PM
As you might expect, the people who use SeeClickFix the most are ... not particularly empathetic.

Meta has decided the blondes aren't working in trying to get me to be a rightwing asshole, so the algo is now seeing if I like dudes:

Maine Humanities Council doing great work here. They have been amazing in recent years at promoting smart, interesting, truly literary voices and celebrating the written word in Maine.
November 24, 2025 at 2:42 PM
I dunno. This is from the CBO report. Doesn't seem so terrible.
November 23, 2025 at 1:13 PM
For me it's just variations on this, over and over again. Weird AI blondes encouraging me to become a fascist asshole.
November 23, 2025 at 12:53 PM
They did this on purpose. Just sickening to think of the Mainers, and people all across the country, suffering because of greedy, despicable, callous assholes that revel in other people's misfortune.

These are definitely the sorts of ads you see when the economy is great.
November 19, 2025 at 1:54 PM
Yet again, the police are completely absolved for killing a Mainer. Multiple officers (wearing vests and tactical gear, I'm assuming) with guns against a single man with a chest wound wielding a knife and the only way out was to shoot him multiple times. Oh well.

The "plaintiff" in this case is a 13 year old. This is from 2016. She told her friends, "I am not suicidal - just in case I die." Then she died by "suicide."

Our president.
November 12, 2025 at 6:47 PM
I dunno. Maybe if everyone thinks your technology is shit and will make the world a worse place over the next 10 years we shouldn't invest our entire economy in it? Hard to say.
November 10, 2025 at 5:32 PM
This is straight-up childlike in its reasoning. When the Republicans tell them to fuck off and don't extend the subsidies, then what? We wait around for a year and hope the elections go well, while the entire health care system collapses?
November 10, 2025 at 11:29 AM
70/30 Yes. It would seem that Mainers are very much looking to do SOMETHING about the gun issue.
November 6, 2025 at 4:23 PM
That's some weird business. According to the Press Herald's site, that red dot is ... North Yarmouth? I don't believe those results for a second. Something weird is going on there.
November 5, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Wow. If this is Gray, these questions are landslides. I find these results encouraging.
November 5, 2025 at 2:07 AM
Not exactly a flood of people at the Gray polls, but a couple other folks at 6p. Doesn't seem like a heavy turnout.

Facebook's newest suggested reel. What a cancer on society that place is. Just a haven for the worst among us.
