It’s especially strange to me because if the GOP could keep their senate caucus under control they didn’t actually need the dem votes. The dems at least could have signaled their disapproval, and it would not have even messed with their “government needs to function so we gotta have a SoS” stance

It makes me so sad how every single Senator who warned that Trump was a fascist dead-set on destroying the American system did not believe it.
