Democracy guarantees discourse and dissent. Contrary action is an injustice to citizens, voters. Public funds shouldn’t be used for force against people expressing their democratic rights. Civic leaders should accompany the democratic protests sympathetically and uphold public order AND democracy.

The area where the party is holding their convention has been cordoned off by a massive police presence. The city authorities have created a cordon and are preventing access. The media will write about a peaceful congress versus unruly protestors demonstrating violently.
