That is very possible. I had not seen that emblem before but I was intrigued by the wheat sheaf on the gravestone so your idea makes perfect sense. Well spotted.

Yes, and it has been restored thanks to the efforts of Ancrum Heritage and the local community. There is also at least one at Lempitlaw, also in the Borders.

Not to make light of the editorial failure, but look how far Twitter lies now permeate in to normal discourse. The tomb of Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan at Dunkeld Cathedral.He was known as the Wolf of Badenoch because of his many misdeeds, including the burning of Elgin Cathedral.
