hey hey everyone just wanted to say hello and thank you to new followers! I started doing this on the other place after the 2016 election as a way to fill my mornings with art and hopefully give a little break or creative inspiration to others in the process. Now here we are again.

"Fred Hampton's Door 2" by American artist Dana Chandler Jr, 1974, which imagined the bullet-ridden door to Hampton's Chicago apartment the night he was murdered in cold blood by FBI and police officers in 1969, firing nearly 100 shots on him and other Black Panther members.

Visited the Walter Gropius House yesterday with one of my art history nerd friends (who has multiple Bauhaus tattoos so they were in heaven haha) and wow what a gorgeous and well-maintained space, one of the best house museums I’ve ever been to I’d say 😍
Walter Gropius House exterior, a stark white cube-shaped building with black framed windows. Part of Gropius’s desk (shared with his wife) filled with various tools and decorative elements including a small typewriter, mini art prints, and letter organizer. The glass cube wall separating the office and dining room, with a decorative shelf holding artwork and a vase, along with a tall chrome floor lamp and white curtain. Bedroom seen through a glass window separating the sleeping space from a vanity space. There is a beautiful red decorative tapestry on the far wall and translucent white curtains along the side window. A small mirror hangs on the glass divider in front of a black shelf with beauty things and artistic Knick knacks.
