The Habs brass mentioned for years that visiting teams felt too comfortable in the Habs barn.... they wanted to change that narrative and want Montreal to be a difficult place to play for visiting teams. That culture is now starting to happen.

Micheal Farber said on the Sick Podcast with Pierre McGuire yesterday that the Habs are entertaining again.... For tonight, I would say no to that so far. 8 SOG 1/2 way thru a game is rather flat.

Great Column Brian. I believe the hiring and extension of Gorton and Hughes is the best mgmt decision since Sam Pollock. They re-invented this club to bring it into modern times with drafting/development. The foundation is now there, and to see it develop will be amazing.

Kudos to Geoff Molson hiring Jeff Gorton to bring this storied franchise into the future. Jeff put the tools together in the development department to change the culture of this club, so that players want to be here and stay here. Adam Nichols must also be mentioned... this dude sleeps hockey.
