The Strand is truly a treasure of Dorchester and of Greater Boston; many fond times there with Jose Mateo’s Nutcracker (check it out! cheap way to see the ballet!) and the Boston Children’s Chorus among others

It's great to see the Strand Theatre — Boston's only city-owned theatre venue — being so well-used these days.
The Strand Theatre is a busy spot lately!

Last weekend, the Dorchester theatre packed in more than 1,300 people for the Boston Bhangra Competition, one of North America’s largest Punjabi dance-offs.
