The guitar is unusual for so many reasons, among the oddest—the capo d'astro, the bottleneck, varying number of strings & different tunings. I wonder are there any cello/violin alternative tunings? What about banjos & mandolins? A five string violin? #Music #Guitar #MusicalInstruments

I'm so sorry but I genuinely cannot take the voice over chap who does Come Dine With Me. He's the worst of a bad bunch, & believe me, that's a bad bunch #comedinewithme

The Breaking news is the Royal Statement about Prince Andrew. Because nobody quite knows what it means or how it's done, it seems important & decisive, & yet raises dozens of questions & great speculation! This is always the case. Obfuscation innit
October 31, 2025 at 12:50 AM
Once Andrew has been "stripped" of all, he becomes some ordinary everyday wealthy bloke... does that then mean he can fight to clear his reputation in a court of law?
October 31, 2025 at 12:50 AM
Look. One thing that is patently & abundantly clear is that Royalty mixed up with Americans equals disaster!
—King Edward VIII & Wallis Simpson
—Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
—Sarah Ferguson & John Bryan
—Prince Andrew & Jeffrey Epstein...

What a world! An old man, & convicted felon, who wears make-up & was friends with Jeffrey Epstein, becomes President of a country, meanwhile some relatively minor un-convicted royal who was also friends with Epstein is publicly humiliated & ruined.

Alberto Stasi was convicted of the murder of Chiara Poggi (in 2007 in Garlasco, Italy). Prosecutor Mario Venditti & Andrea Sempio are facing allegations of dodgy dealings & the Italian legal system is Big News right now. Their Lucy Letby? Fascinating

This is exactly correct. She 100% was the best Scottish Politician for 30 years easily.
Of course, the term "Scottish Politician" is not an accusation to be made lightly, but her ambition, greed, corruption, back-stabbery & bad memory assured her this dishonour—it's well deserved #Sturgeon
To celebrate Ipsos in Scotland turning 30, we asked the Scottish public to cast their minds back…

🏆 Nicola Sturgeon tops the list as Scotland’s best politician of the past 30 years — chosen by 1 in 5 Scots.
🥈Sturgeon is followed by Brown, Salmond and Dewar – all on 8%.

One thing to note, the excruciatingly awful #BigBrother in the UK is equally awful as #BigBrotherNaija & #grandefratello. Honestly, why is this such a thing still?

Who uses small paint spray cans except graffiti makers? Why don't they ban the cans? Honestly, Make it really hard to obtain. Cut off the supply! I'm genuinely tired of graffiti, I really am. It generally doesn't improve a place.

I had an Apple Turnover at teatime today, something I have not had for donkey's ears. I have not has such fun eating anything for so long! Each bite bulged out a cloud of cream, it was all about fast-moving eye-hand-tongue co-ordination. Fabulous!

After the Angela Rayner rethink, now I'm having to rethink my Prince Andrew Halloween costume. The Antiperspirant, medals, sash and robes are out. Actually, I might have to start the whole damn thing again.
October 31, 2025 at 12:47 AM
Halloween is coming. I had a long red wig and a giant light green trouser suit, with a bottle of gin & a ciggie I was going to go as Angela Rayner, but that's been kiboshed

This is very interesting. A long read, sure, but worthwhile. Makes you think that change is possible once the old systems particularly the political ones are questioned. They don't seem fit for purpose, and this essay shows that I think!
A GREAT read. Please have a look…

“Most government policies remain based on hunches, what lawmakers say will work, rather than by testing various options to verify what works best. No experiments done, no evidence required.”
Should we just give cash to homeless people? I wrote about what the evidence shows--and a London-based charity called Greater Change that has a simple, innovative way of making a difference:

We still use freelance contractors, just as before, by the way. The difference is simply that they are not "in the UK" but the EU, where things continue as normal. The UK has lost all that tax trying to get a bit more tax! Bring Them Back. Grow the Economy! Come on Rachel!
October 20, 2025 at 11:44 AM
I hope Reeves reads my posts. I'm serious about opening up growth via freelance contracting by abandoning IR35. It would boost the NHS & the housebuilding sector almost instantly, & build back the IT sector that IR35 destroyed. We need AI & the cutting edge of a mobile workforce
October 20, 2025 at 11:43 AM
Gordon Brown's IR35 was a response to Thatcher's beating the unions, freelance contractors, self employed entrepreneurs are not in unions & work as long as they want to get ahead. The picture today had utterly changed. Get rid of IR35! Get growth!
October 20, 2025 at 11:43 AM
Reeves could, with a stroke of her pen, sweep away IR35, to get quick growth. It would benefit AI, IT & construction massively, as well as older workers. Women returning to the workplace. Freelancing/ Contacting is the key for a flexible, moveable workforce as the EU knows
October 20, 2025 at 11:43 AM
Labour could do worse than simply bin IR35 in the public & private sectors. The effect on growth is proven & outweighs the tax argument. In addition, we have better tax systems (live) now so with little effort/fuss much could be done
October 20, 2025 at 11:43 AM
I feel that people are not making much effort these days! Pubs are shutting, nightclubs too. Cinemas, clubs and all social spaces are fading away. Clothes are poor, Christmas & Halloween have been better, come on, where is our mojo?
October 20, 2025 at 11:42 AM
I've seen some disturbing Halloween gardens already this year. Why is this happening? It's not scary or spooky as much as distasteful. Giant skeletons? Giant Spiders? Really? Is that it? & the supermarkets are dreadful! I remember years ago having a laugh trying on masks—not now

I was out late last night and had so much of a good time that I slept later than I ought to have. I had to rush to collect some tailoring and whatnots this morning. I'm only now sitting down for a coffee & a scroll
