Here are two photos of a relatively rare phenotype found on this Eastern Gray Squirrel doe...the ring-tail. I've seen it twice. Once in Gainesville,FL and now here in Jacksonville, FL. Not sure that it's more common in Florida, maybe I notice these things more now that I am retired.

No surprise, but real education is dead in Florida, especially anything in the liberal arts. Florida residents who care about their college bound kids should think long and hard about sending them to public colleges.

This is a real screen capture. Not sure it wasn't intentionally done by a subversive person at HULU. It sure is too close to for comfort these days.

Just to emphasize, Trump et. al. just murdered 11 people just to distract from the fact that he is a pedophile and the evidence is in the Epstein files.

I'm watching the Tour of Britain (cycling). School has just started back. As the racers come through hamlets and villages, the teachers pause classes for school children come out to cheer them on. In the US schools, teachers pause classes to rehearse active shooter drills. Goddamn.

American Osprey (Pandion haliaetus). Ospreys are not closely related to eagles or hawks (insert sports joke), and they are the only extant species of their family. They are one of the most globally widespread species, found on all continents but Antarctica.

Since I focused on zoology, I'm not very adept at identifying plants. This plant is in my neighbors yard. She thinks it is some type of lily. It is a large plant that currently stands 4-5 feet tall. Looks like an ornamental. Anyone recognize it?
This is in Jacksonville Florida.

Florida is great for dynamic cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. Makes for some good photos to manipulate, especially converting them to B&W images.#clouds #cloudphotography
