Amazing how this is the first Sunday of football season. What's that? It's like week eight or something? Impossible. Last Sunday it was still baseball season. Now it isn't anymore. So clearly it's the first Sunday of football season.
While I've no interest in a pissing match, I can safely say that if you support the US Democratic Party I am *well* to the left of you.

Have a good day.
Not really. You said LGBT support set the parties apart; I actually agreed with that. It's the *everything else* that's the reason they're still problematic. And speaking for myself as a rainbow person, it ain't enough.
Because no one should ever ask for better. If I punch you in the face, you can't ask me not to do that. You only get to be glad I didn't shoot you.
Cronyism, predatory capitalism, profits over planet, endless war, and for-profit healthcare *but with pride flags* isn't a very meaningful difference, even if it's accompanied by meaningful action.

However, "consultant brain" is real, and if and when this whole regime falls, both parties need to be tossed into the trash bin of history.

Republicans stand for autocracy. Democrats (with few exceptions) stand for nothing.
I've learned not to just google "(character name) actor" if I find myself thinking someone looks or (in a game) sounds familiar, because by the time I'm finished there's usually a helpful autocomplete of "(character name) death scene"
My point is more that it's probably a cavalcade of death threats. Impotent ones, yes, of course, but why even look at that?
Policies that help me will probably also help Cletus and Jethro. I *want* Cletus and Jethro to do better, too. It's not a zero sum game.
Are they approaching the mentioned question as if "trans" and "working class" are definitionally contradictory? (That's a fun phrase to say out loud)

I'm trans. I'm working class. While I do have a retirement account, I have pretty much nothing in "piggy bank" savings and have a fair bit of debt
I hope that comes across how it's intended; it's a good thing for a political figure's religious faith to not be obvious. And again, maybe I've whooshed or it's a byproduct of distance, but I never once thought of him as "the Muslim candidate"
To be quite honest, it was only that gutless and disgusting comment about "cheering another 9/11" that clued me in to the fact that he is even Muslim. Granted I don't live in New York, it's probably been more obvious to people who do. But I didn't just assume Middle Eastern sounding name = Muslim
Sometimes I wonder if there's really any practical reason why naturalized citizens shouldn't be able to run for President.
The number of people in Sep and Oct 2020 saying they were "looking forward to not caring about politics anymore" (or said so outright in Dec/Jan).....ugh.
