tbh i think shf's animations feel a lot better than 2r's.... but 2r mostly has you using guns anyway.

i kinda hope the future remakes take a liiiiittle bit of a hint from shf's combat, not to the extent of leveling up or boost gear, but at least giving monsters more... flow?

even worse, it makes it hard to say whether the two fingers were really "controlling" blaidd, or if iji inadvertently fulfilled a prophecy by betraying blaidd and waiting on a tarnished to take his place, thus driving blaidd to madness. perhaps all the two fingers did was direct causality :')

like there's so much cool stuff going on when you compare and contrast his motivations versus, say, maliketh or radahn's.

unlike maliketh, he wants to aid his empyrean in betraying the two fingers.

like radahn, he suffers madness as he keeps his own destiny at bay.

In fact, even when he goes mad, it's made clear that he defies the Two Fingers just enough to fight off the assassins, insisting "She NEEDS me." Iji later comments, "I've made a grave misjudgment of his character. Even in madness, he gave himself to her."

Eh, it sounds more like he trusts you as much as he would Iji, and directly states his only interest is in aiding Ranni. I like that if you aggro him, he makes it abundantly clear that he still considers you a means to an end, and that getting between him and Ranni is a death sentence.
