Yeah, I like the Copic Multiliners in various weights/styles. (Pardon my work gloves—keeps my hands warm and cuts down on friction.)

I like to do quick mock-ups of ideas for guitar builds--here's the idea that I'm actually finding parts for right now. I find black and gold classy as fuck.

This morning's warm-up "sketch". I was looking through some newspapers from the early 1900s, and found these wonderful little hand drawn maps of California. I broke out some disposable tech pens and tried to capture the feeling of the lettering. Those upturned "e"s intrigued me. Is this a keeper?

Thanks! I think most people don't care about my guitar obsession. They just put up with it for the font/comics updates. (However, I am working on a custom build right now. A black American Strat w/ gold hardware, a roasted neck, and hand-made Fralin pickups with a zebra humbucker in the bridge.)
Congrats on your downtime! Which guitar will you be disassembling, cleaning and reassembling this year, Mr P? Do a video for the youtube likes :)

Freelance comics work before a holiday is always really unpredictable. It's either a 4-alarm fire and batshit crazy, or it's dead quiet and nothing's really coming in to be worked on. And you never really know until a few days before. Looks like pre-turkey day = dead quiet this year.

The best picture I took all night at the the Tom Morello show on Saturday; during the Chris Cornell tribute where Tom played Like a Stone on a darkened stage with just a spotlight on an empty mic stand. Decided to print and frame this one.

Today has been one of those days in the studio when the universe has conspired to prevent me from getting anything done. In 5 hours, I've only dressed 2 covers and did a round of correx on a Dark Horse book. Too many phone calls, emails and work being done outside that I had to keep an eye on. SIGH.

Front row and meet & greet with Tom Morello last night. I worked on his Dark Horse Comics series, ORCHID, back in 2011/12 and it was nice to chat again after so long.

My indecisiveness with Project Gray Ghost continues...Because the bold version was based on a small filbert brush, I started going down a rabbit hole of vintage hand-painted sign lettering, and wondered if the regular version might look good in a thinner wedge brush style. Hmm.

The light from our sun takes 8 min. and 20 seconds to reach earth. So if the sun hypothetically disappeared, we'd see daylight for an additional 8 min. and 20 seconds before...lights out. End of civilization. Earth and all the orbiting planets would drift off into space. Forever dark. HAPPY FRIDAY!

New guitar pedal day! I have an unhealthy addiction to 60s/70s fuzz, so I can’t wait to try out the Mythos Argo Octave Fuzz!

Now that Pixel Panels is done, I've jumped back over to Project Gray Ghost. I've revised these letters at least a half dozen times over the last 6 months. Starting to get closer to what I see in my head. Pic 1) Bottom two lines are my latest. Pic 2) A close-up. Pic 3) All the rejected versions.

Yeah—it’s going to be less of a headache to just spend another $25 for a new one for sure.
Can't imagine how difficult this is to sharpen

First sound effects of the day. An idiot being eaten by a monster. (From two different panels on the page.)

So, Cloudflare is down this morning (whatever that is...) and it's screwing up the internet? Is that right? I'm noticing all kinds of errors and 404s on websites that are normally problem-free.

Dear anyone trying to solicit Blambot via email or otherwise: Explaining that you're an expert in AI, and I should really consider hiring you to incorporate AI into Blambot...I'd like to explain to you where you can shove that suggestion.

My wife took me out for my birthday dinner to a restaurant in an 1880s Victorian home that has also been a mortuary in the past. Food was amazing. I fell in love with this staircase. (Yes, the place is haunted. I asked the staff.)
