In 1942, the British Navy escored 14 Merchant Marines & a USS OHio Oil Tanker to Malta, besieged by the Nazis & starving. 5 Merchants & a battered USS tanker survived air, submarine & E-boat attacks. The oil tanker was wedged btw 2 destroyers & sank soon after delivering Spitfire fuel

Currently, the mood is pessimistic. No surprise. People who expected a return to nromalcy, GOP becoming decent & honest again had to give that illusion up. Then, they grabbed on midterms & now that's in doubt

I listen for trends in the messaging. When individuals give an opinion, they converge in some ways. Those are the trends.

My goal is to create a Human knowledge base that can span the galaxy, yet all stay in sync & up-to-date, even 50k light years apart.

And we have the tech to make that possible today...

After working on this for years, I've come to the following conclusion about Divergence vs. Convergence.

Divergence is good for AIs, since the mroe granular the merrier. Convergence better for humans.

So I may have to use the 2 lines for people-centric sites & none for machines

You may think if a content pool is complete, it'll be the perfect granularity of trees & tags. Nope. For one, Completeness is 4th dimensional, an infinity you cannot reach here. And Convergence or Divergence is good or evil. As our knowledge is incomplete, we can go either way.

I have 2 lines of code that sets a tree's width & height requirement. It's like you run a roller coaster & you adjust the minimum hight of kids who can ride it by demand, not law. Meaning, if you don't get enough riders, little junior can ride.

An ongoing issue, maybe forever is how to scale my trees, or if I need to do anything at all.

As content grows, concepts spread. This is divergence. My tag scores are competitive, some tags emerge & other disappear, "Convergence".

A collection of feeds can go either way.
