Among reasons we left the UK for Ireland (no longer having a job notwithstanding 😉), the cost and hassle of being an immigrant, the challenge of even obtaining indefinite leave to remain, and the impossibility of citizenship all weighed heavily.
Huh. If you say you’ll mess with indefinite leave to remain rules it turns out talented migrant workers start looking at their other options. This could never have been predicted!
