Inspired by @mikechenwriter.bsky.social 's Low Red Moon (out this week!), this is one of new shirt designs.

Also inspired by Minnesota's own Hüsker Dü, all proceeds on the the sale of this shirt through the end of Feb will go to the AFL-CIO Member Support Fund through Stand With Minnesota.

Not everything Dave Filoni has made at Lucasfilm is totally to my taste, but a lot of it is and I think his heart is in the right place when it comes to telling Star Wars stories and that counts as much and *more* than anything else to me.

Nothing, just the GOAT doing GOAT stuff.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Shawn Levy revealed that while visiting the set of Star Wars: Starfighter, Tom Cruise helped film a lightsaber duel after Levy jokingly offered him the job.

I don't remember who shared this a few weeks back, but it is fascinating and worth digging into for sure. Really interesting to follow the progression of creators and ideas on this film, regardless of how you feel about it.

(I love it, btw).

The Revenge of the Sith influence on this opening sequence in Metroid Prime 4 is pretty strong.

Spent the last week in Amsterdam and Paris. Besides a poster for my classroom from the Ann Frank Museum, I think this is the only souvenir I bought.

This is heartbreaking.

I’ll never forget reading my first Insider at a Barnes and Noble in the mid-90s. I couldn’t believe it existed and I poured over many issues in the years to follow.

We’re rewatching all of Stranger Things in anticipation of the last season and I would recommend anyone worried about Shawn Levy directing a Star Wars film to go watch the final 15 minutes or so of S4 E4.

Shots, acting, edits, pacing, soundtrack are all unbelievable.

I’ve got a mega-book about the creation of Darth Vader in all his forms coming in April.

It’s GARGANTUAN. Goes deep on all the personal stories of his creators that made him the icon he is.

(If Darth Vader is trending for an ugly reason, why not make some good out of it?)

Pre-order here.👇 🙏
Star Wars Icons: Darth Vader
No Star Wars character has made a bigger impact on pop culture than Darth Vader. Since debuting in the original 1977 Star Wars film, Darth Vader continues to be one of the most iconic and enduring elements throughout the saga. There are few things more guaranteed to irritate me than when a video game or pop culture podcast brings up Star Wars.

It’s happening right now on the one that I’m listening to atm and it’s supremely annoying.

Anyone can talk about Star Wars, so it’s sorta gatekeepy of me, I know, but…

I love classic Hollywood stuff and so on one level I appreciate what the poster is shooting for.

But that look has been done to death in a million very corny, low quality designs. Looks generic here.

Hopefully the film can better capture that spirt they're going for with the poster.

My second book, The STAR WARS ENCYCLOPEDIA OF STARFIGHTERS AND OTHER VEHICLES was published today, from @dkbooks.bsky.social .

It’s always a crazy feeling to see my name *anywhere* close to the #StarWars logo … and this time it’s very, very close. Insane. Thank you.

Great new song from the great band The Beths called "Ark of the Covenant."

Not really about Raiders (though surely nodding to it), but I still get a little burst of joy every time she sings the phrase "ark of the covenant."

The bad guys won, over and over again.

(Seems like that’s always how it goes, right?)

But the Emmys made this cathartic—even if Nate Bargatze’s ticking clock upstaged everything.

Here’s my full run-down of Emmys 2025 at Esquire:
The Emmys Honored Monsters, Psychopaths, and Egomaniacs. Somehow, It Felt Good.
And host Nate Bargatze's awkward charity contest (unintentionally) spoofed the innate narcissism at the heart of all awards ceremonies.
