Shawn Levy is a great interview and a good guy. Rebecca Ford is the best too.

This is such a fun read. #StarWars fans, have at it.

love having Eric at MovieWeb, and his look back at the second Ewoks movie is a real fun read
Today is the 40th anniversary of Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, and for @movie-web.bsky.social, I wrote about how wild it is that it opens by unceremoniously killing off of the blatant Luke Skywalker surrogate hero from the first Ewok TV-Movie. #StarWars

Toxic masculinity is a problem. But we could use more stories of honorable masculinity.

#TrainDreams is a powerful example.🌳

Guys will love it. Women will adore it too. A good watch together.
Every Man Needs To See 'Train Dreams'
The new Netflix movie, which stars Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones, isn't just one of the year's best. It's critical viewing.

This is a wonderful Q&A.

Train Dreams is one of my favorites of the year, and Tomris gets Kerry Condon and Felicity Jones to talk beautifully about its emotional power.
Felicity Jones & Kerry Condon don’t share any scenes in TRAIN DREAMS, one of my absolute favorites this year. But the characters they play jointly represent the film’s soulful themes that I hold close. A joy to interview them, for VOGUE: www.vogue.com/article/feli...

Let’s reassess “Deliver Me From Nowhere.” It deserved better.

Scott Cooper’s film is more than the story of an album. It’s about the value of sometimes going it alone.

We don’t talk about that very much.
'Deliver Me From Nowhere' Is Wildly Misunderstood—By Both Critics and Audiences
The Bruce Springsteen biopic was meant to kickstart a long Oscar campaign for Jeremy Allen White. It hasn't, because everyone is missing what actually makes the film about 'Nebraska' great.

Three years ago, Chris Hemsworth discovered that he had the genetic predisposition for Alzheimer's disease.

He trusted me @VanityFair to tell that story.

Now today we have the update at Esquire. This is how a father and son are facing the inevitable together.

Stephen King talked to me about The Running Man, and a gag TV show he included while writing it in the early-‘70s that was called “Swim With Alligators.”🐊

Would something like that air today? It would.

It actually HAS.

But when Joe Rogan did it, the contestants also wore bikinis.👙

I've liked all of Osgood's movies to varying degrees. KEEPER is the one I really can't stop thinking about. There are some images and ideas in this one that feel like pure deep nightmare language.

Chris Chalk is extraordinary on #IT Welcome to Derry.🎈

We talk about all the revelations of Dick Hallorann, whom Stephen King himself brought over from The Shining to Derry.

An Esquire Q&A:
An Icon from ‘The Shining’ Returns in ‘It: Welcome to Derry.’ What Are His Secrets?
Chris Chalk knows you’ll see some Scatman Crothers in his turn as Dick Hallorann—but there are also traces of Viola Davis, Denzel Washington, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Katherine Stoeffel did a good job with this interview. Curious, sincere and insightful. Sweeney is guarded, but I got the sense that she answered honestly.

That’s what reporters do. They ask.

They help people—both audience, and subject—see where the other is coming from.
In an exclusive interview with GQ, Sydney Sweeney goes on the record about her jeans ad, and what it was like to land, unexpectedly, at the center of a strange national political discourse www.gq.com/story/sydney...

Great recap by @brianjayjones.com 🎃
Halloween means it's time to revisit one of the first Great American Horror Stories, Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," a story so familiar to us that most can summarize the story even if they've never read it.

Or can they?

There's more to it than you might remember. Take a look:

A few years ago, when we were still new to town, my wife told me: "You've got to meet Diane's husband Allan. He's the first zombie in history to say, 'Braaaiiiiinnns....!'"

This is his story. And the story of Tarman.
