This beautiful new Doctor Who magazine celebrating 1984 is out now. Art editor Alistair McGown has done a great job, it looks beautiful. So many great articles and so many memories from that era.

I absolutely love the Children's book ‘The Watch House’ by Robert Westall, which I thoroughly recommend reading. The TV series was a great adaptation, but the book is definitely spookier. An amazing writer whose stories create such a chilling air. It’s an incredibly eerie tale.

Debbie Watling was a great person and actress, I will always love this.

An acting workshop/holiday with Sophie Aldred and Debbie Watling in the French Alps. They teach a group of people interested in acting and Doctor Who and create an original scene based on the TV series.

The Tomorrow People was a great 1970’s TV series. It was about a group of children and young adults born with powers. They strive to protect earth from earth bound and alien menaces, whilst keeping their own existence a secret.

The Doctor Who story closest to my heart is The Horror of Fang Rock. 😊

Aye: though we hunted high and low,
And hunted everywhere,
Of the three men's fate we found no trace
Of any kind in any place,
But a door ajar, and an untouched meal,
And an overtoppled chair.

This Ancient Egyptian board game is almost 4,000 years old!

Known as ‘Hounds and Jackals’ or ‘Game of 58 holes’, its original name is unknown. It’s suggested it was played in a similar way to ‘Snakes and Ladders’.

I may have mentioned that an upcoming @bigfinish.bsky.social script was the ‘most Dorney ever’.

We recorded it yesterday.

Coming soon.

My furry friend. He died a long time ago, but he was a saggy old cloth cat and Jenny loved him 😁

I loved the 70s version of ‘Pete’s Dragon’ I can remember sobbing at one particular scene when I was little, watching it at the cinema. He had a great personality.

Irene Handl was born on 27th December 1901. She was a great character actress who appeared in over one hundred British films. I also really loved her in the TV programme ‘Metal Mickey’ she was one of my acting heroes growing up.

I have said this before, but I absolutely loved the TV programme ‘Interceptor’ Sean O’Kane made a great baddie chasing the contestants around the UK.

Clapperboard ran from April 1972 until January 1982, and was shown on ITV. It was presented by Chris Kelly, and the programme went behind the scenes of mostly film, but there were also a few TV shows too. I loved watching it.

I love Susan Hill’s novels and one of my favourite plays is ‘The Woman in Black’ The perfect place to see it is in the smallest of theatres, it really does create an eerie atmosphere. The whole audience reacts together at the best spooky moments and it’s a brilliant experience.
