SMEs are being pulled into carbon reduction.

✔️ Regulations are changing
✔️ Larger suppliers expect compliance

It's that time of year when snuggling under a blanket is so desirable.

Melin Tregwynt is a woollen mill in Pembrokeshire that makes wool cloth, blankets, throws, cushions, and more. Wool is naturally breathable, renewable, and warm - just what you need at this time of year.

You are not alone.

@thriverenewables.bsky.social posted recently about the perception gap. They gave the example that 78% of Brits would back a new solar energy farm in their community but only 27% think others in the community would too.

We were astounded to see the news that Royal Ballet & Opera had cut their energy consumption in the auditorium from 39kW to 6.2kW by rewiring and updating over 1,000 lighting fixtures, signs and candelabras to LED.

It can be done.

As a sole trader or small business you don't need to hire a carbon consultant or run a full audit (yet).

There is an easier way.

At Blue Patch we've developed a carbon reduction course for businesses to measure and reduce their carbon footprint.

What's the biggest cause of carbon emissions in small business?

Energy 💡 for heating, lighting, and production. This is especially true in older buildings with less insulation and inefficient lighting and heating systems.

What do reindeer poo, elephant poo, meadow seed and brewery waste have in common?

They're all materials which have been fused with recycled pulp in papers from The Sustainable Print Company.

And fear not. The poo is sanitised before use.
