I’m demanding Secy Noem disclose key facts about ICE’s escalating, indefensible use of excessive force & firearms—part of my ongoing PSI investigation.
January 9, 2026 at 8:49 PM
The investigation of this heartbreaking ICE killing must be immediate & independent, not depending solely on federal agents. Credibility is critical. Beyond individual accountability, there must be thorough scrutiny of ICE practices & tactics.

This horrific tragedy was both predictable & preventable. For months, armed ICE & CBP agents have roamed American cities & brutally assaulted American citizens with seemingly no repercussions—& now, a woman is dead. My heart breaks for her family & loved ones. 1/
An ICE agent shot and killed a person in Minneapolis on Wednesday, federal authorities said. The shooting in a residential neighborhood comes days after the Trump administration ramped up the agency’s presence in the city. Follow live updates. nyti.ms/4qgGgYU

Today's classified briefing gave me absolutely zero comfort.

Continuing military action & unrest in Venezuela risk spiraling out of control.

Trump & his lackeys can try to bully CT all they want, but the facts are clear: this type of national voter roll poses a real risk to people’s privacy & would be completely unprecedented.
CT sued for refusing to hand voter info to Trump administration, officials say
Connecticut is among 23 states, as well as the District of Columbia, facing similar lawsuits over voter information.

Do not forget: Five years ago, rioters incited by Trump tried to destroy our democracy. Trump pardoned & then glorified them, & then empowered them in key Administration offices. We cannot allow his rewriting history. 1/

Noem’s nearly 50% FEMA staff cuts would be catastrophic—crippling aid to Americans struggling through natural catastrophes. She should face Americans who face hurricanes, earthquakes, floods & more.
Emails outline potential cuts affecting thousands of FEMA disaster responders
Any FEMA terminations are likely to come in waves, according to three people familiar with the plans.

Trump “in charge”? Venezuela has the same repressive regime, only the names have changed. Trump running Venezuela means no strategy, no legal support, no national security purpose, & now, no moral partners.

If the Trump Admin is so confident that the science warrants changing childhood vaccines recommendations, why not follow proper procedures & prove it?

The answer is simple: they can’t.

Kids will die because of this decision.

In Venezuela as in Iraq, “if you break it you own it,” as Colin Powell famously said. Running another country can be a hugely costly quagmire, especially when there’s no end game or national security strategy.

If we’re starting another endless war, with no clear national security strategy or need, count me out. Maduro is a cruel criminal dictator, but President Trump has never sought approval from Congress for war as the Constitution requires—& our military deserves. 1/

I’ll persist in pushing for more information about donors behind Trump’s out sized gilded ballroom, who may think they’re outsmarting Americans through their secrecy. People deserve to know who they are & why they’re gilding Trump. Follow the money—& sky-high cost.

Secretively & sickeningly, Trump’s VA is depriving women veterans of essential health care. A policy just issued by Sec. Collins stops this reproductive care even for women who are victims of rape or incest, or whose health is at risk.

Trump canceling Revolution Wind, again, is absolutely nuts—cruel & stupid. It will skyrocket electricity costs, put thousands out of jobs, waste millions already invested in a wind farm nearly 90% complete. 1/

The administration said it's pausing leases for 5 large-scale offshore wind projects due to unspecified national security risks identified by the Pentagon.

The reason that we are seeing any of this material is because the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s horrific crimes have been so courageous & steadfast—& that’s also why releasing an incomplete selection of the files is so offensive & utterly unacceptable. 1/

Even after 13 years, the searing pain & grief remains real. At the Sandy Hook firehouse on that December 14, I saw loved ones learn that their 20 beautiful children & 6 great educators would never be coming home. We must honor them with action.

Deeply saddened by the news coming out of Brown University. My heart is with the victims, survivors, & their loved ones. Congress finally—finally—must come together & act with commonsense measures to help stop the scourge of gun violence.

At least two people at Brown University were killed Saturday and nine others were injured in critical but stable condition, police said. No one is in custody.

A holiday dagger at the heart of veteran health care—Collins’ cuts will stretch thinner a staff already struggling with rising workloads. Saying positions are open is no excuse for failing to fill them—many mission critical jobs. It leads to longer wait times, less responsive care.

The Trump Admin's unrealistic caps on student loans for nurses will worsen the health care workforce shortage in our country. Nurses are the backbone of our health care system—these caps will deprive them of critical support.

Making Adm. Bradley the fall guy in the Administration’s “Protect Pete” campaign is disgraceful & destructive. It signals to military professionals down the ranks they’ll be thrown under the bus for lawbreaking by Hegseth & other political leaders.
