Tonight's watch was the new version of 'Frankenstein' from Guillermo del Toro. I found it good, but not as good as I had hoped and expected.

A ★★★ review of Frankenstein (2025)
Guillermo del Toro's 'Frankenstein' is a good movie that should have been a great one. Certainly many in the cast deliver performances of the sort that tend to get awards nominations. And for most of ...

'Sorry, Baby' is sort of a "dramady", but just as a warning, it does deal with the very serious topic of sexual assault. Director Eva Victor threads the needle perfectly with this one, but I get it if some folks don't want to watch it. Here's my full review:

A ★★★★★ review of Sorry, Baby (2025)
It's not easy to make a film that deals with sexual assault and have it still be fairly humorous without being misogynistic or at least tasteless. So major kudos to writer/director/star Eva Victor. It...

Normally I go with the U.S. theatrical cut, which is George Romero's official "director's cut", of this zombie classic. On occasion I also sometimes opt for the longer Cannes film festival cut. But to...
