Just learned that the mayor of NYC makes ~250k/year and idk I feel like businesses would have less control over our government if being mayor of the 11th city in the world paid better than senior software engineer (fully remote).

Today I explained to Tori that when financial planners talk about target values for retirement they mean a wad of millions of dollars where you can comfortably live off the interest and then die with those millions of dollars still in the bank and I think I broke her brain.

Been playing Pokemon Lets Go with Teddy and this game is just constantly in the way of the fun. Can't catch pokemon because that requires motion controls, can't read the cutscenes, can't navigate the menus. Obviously I'm helping him out but how does a pokemon game for small children not exist?

I'll probably get suckered back into playing Richmond in March but this is how I feel about standard generally. You either play the expensive wrong cards that won't get banned or the expensive good cards that are definitely getting banned in 3 months.

Someone asked me earlier today why I was enjoying arena cube and I said some stuff but upon further consideration it's cause these leagues are full of fish who have never stared down the business end of a Ragavan before.

It's nuts that ATLA, an animated series with 3 seasons, seemingly has more material to make cards from than spiderman, a comic book hero that has been more or less in consistent print for 60 years. Cabbage merchant >>>>>>> hot dog cart.

Rallied back but then lost the final round to finish 5-4. Definitely got punished for cutting the caverns but got baited by mtgo lists not playing them. Magic is sweet, format is fun, they should ban Vivi.
