A legless bastard trying his damnedest through life.
My latest way to temporarily escape societal collapse is to play silksong and read comics written by Tom King. Mister miracle being a standout book the feels extremely relatable under current circumstances.

Finally watched The whale. Extremely good. I unashamedly wept, and it helped me realize that I need to relight the hope within me. #film

To my fellow Americans with disabilities, its time to get ready for hardship. The trump government is absolutely coming for the benefits and programs we use and depend on. It is wasted effort to hope they wont. Prepare as best as possible. #disability

Getting started with this one. It's a book about a prisoner in a far distant future earth where humanity is dying out. A bleak, but rather compelling setting filled with Tchaikovsky's fantastic world building. #booksky

Of the two extreme horror books, I finished this one first. In a world where all meat is poison aside from human we see industrial cannibalism. It's horrific, tragic, and an uncomfortable mirror of our society. It's also excellent and very hard to put down. Big recommend!

Wanted to read some horror. Poking around, I discovered the extreme horror subgenre. I thought that was splatterpunk, but apparently not. Most of it is edgelord sludge, but these two are considered best in show; so I decided to dive in!

One of my years best picks. The best representation of a truly alien world I've ever seen on screen. A group of people stranded in an environment that did not evolve for earth life. Adapt or die. Woefully slept on.

Game of the year: Mouthwashing.

Show of the year: Scavengers reign.

Movie of the year: The devils bath.

Big time trigger warnings on the first and third. Both are well written and well considered, but also still quite heavy and graphic.

Happy new year folks! Looks like all kinds of terrible is on the horizon, but I believe we are ready to stand firm in the face of it. Maybe even find time to dance in the rain :-)

store.steampowered.com/app/333640/C.... Been playing a good bit of this since 1.0. I've become a mind sundering, matter dissolving psychic terror. Asks a bit of your imagination, but if you're the type open to that, qud offers an adventure quite unlike anything else.

Burning through the second book in the final architecture series. Very fun space opera full of great characters. You can see Tchaikovsky's imagination burning as bright as ever when meeting new aliens or visiting far flung worlds. Want to join? Start with Shards of earth.

Sick of my disability. Even rolling around town just to get out of the house for a bit is a chore. Terrible infrastructure, bad ada solutions, and aggressive drivers were the frosting to my pain cake. At least I get to see my daughter later 😁

store.steampowered.com/app/1147860/.... One of my big interests is indie gaming. I get a lot of downtime due to my disability, and I'm always looking for a good way to spend that time. This collection is a superb way to spend game time and is budget friendly to boot.

Havent been much of a social media poster for a while now. Bluesky seems a decent enough place to get back into the swing of things. Looking forward to wasting some time with interesting folks!
