So I can say that I'm actually enjoying reading the Lord of the Rings. I find this surprising, because there is a subtle bit of whimsy, but it's probably just the right amount for me to tolerate. Anyway, I'll probably regret waiting so long to actually read it, but it's never too late to start.

I finished Stranger Things tonight. Nearly 10 years, 5 seasons, and more than a few of episodes I didn't give a damn about, I made it through to the end and can say I fucking enjoyed it. It was a trip down nostalgia lane for me and every other kid who grew up with the Goonies and Stephen King.

I dreamed I just happened to be staying at a hotel where a writers convention was happening, and was told I could just pay to attend the panels, then couldn't find where to pay, got into a panel, and was hounded by writers for not paying while I tried to give them money.
