Don't know if it's a larger trend but I noticed in my #dnd circles, that it's become cool to be the "big bad dm"

"If your character dies, don't come crawling to me"
"I'm only nice now, so I can hurt you more later😈"
"I'm not gonna coddle you like other DMs"

I get the weirdest feeling whenever my players overcome an encounter in a way I didn't expect.

Because one hand: "Wow! That was such a cool and creative way to overcome that!"

But also, by golly, I hate losing, even if it's my role.

Drew this little goober for a token in a DND game I'm running.

It's essentially a lump of cancerous growth that a troll tore off of itself.
It retains enough life force and brain power to move and attack but not quite enough to speak or regenerate

DnD Take: ALL skeletal monsters should have AT LEAST resistance to piercing damage, if not outright immunity.

Stronger ones should have at least resistance to MAGICAL piercing damage, if not outright immunity.
