I had a friendly argument with Keith Law on twitter a few years ago when he left Cowser out of his top 100 and my point was even if he’s “just” a strong side platoon bat who is very good defensively in RF or LF and can play center, that’s a valuable player.

These exit interviews are useless but as quotes go this is fine. I don’t expect that “evolve” means “realize that you can’t put a pitching staff together out of 10th round picks and failed prospects you scouted in Houston 10 years ago” but it’s at least sort of an acknowledgment that he messed up.
