I’ve been wondering how much Lamar was covering bad line play last year and if he’s a step slower due to injury the warts are showing. But they’ve been across the line worse in run blocking too.

If nothing else, he’s way too confident in “let’s take this day 2/3 tackle and make him a guard” as a strategy.

He’s gotten incredible autonomy in hiring his coaching staff, and had multiple hires at both coordinator spots. So I don’t even think there’s a “change the staff” out for him.

Right, “they’re out to get me” is a valid defense if you get fired for stealing office supplies.

And just in the sense of self-preservation, he was hired by the previous owners. Going in to 2024 he was super secure in his job. He’s not anymore and he has to assume there’s a chance Rubenstein wants his own guy if this doesn’t turn around.

A combo of 1 and 2. Going back to the draft and trade deadline it’s clear there’s been a reevaluation of the approach, and unless he’s genuinely dumb(he’s not) it had to become clear he wasn’t going to farm system his way to a title anytime soon. I also think ownership was like “no seriously…”

100% agree. For example I’m not crazy about Grayson for Ward but I do like that for once they weren’t thinking “yeah but in 3 years this could look bad.”

I mean they got it wrong but I don’t know that it implies they’re specifically against the Ravens.

That’s funny because I’ve been taking my 4th grader to Ravens games the last couple of years and have actually has a talk with him about how we can yell at the refs when they make a bad call, but continuously whining that it’s rigged is a bad look.
