is a graphic novel full of historical and biological facts.
While I didn't enjoy the art style very much, I still read it and learnt so much. Like I learnt stuff about my own body that sexEd in School clearly missed.

Usually third person past like most books, for ease of reading, although one of my favourite books, the Night Circus, likes messing with perspective and tense.

Yes! Third person. And probably past tense.
I won't DNF a book for first person, but I don't love it. I find that the POV character tells you too plainly what they feel and think at any given moment. And there's often no consistency in what they can reasonably know.
