Fairy inkcaps (Coprinellus disseminatus). A huge mass of hundreds of small, uniformly shaped grey mushrooms with pleated caps and thin stalks. They are so densely packed you can’t see the stems of most of them, it’s a sea of little mushroom caps.

If you do Google searches, add -ai to get an actual search result (which still need to be source checked, of course) instead of an ai generated 'answer' as your top hit.

Well, this was a real treat this afternoon as I found this Periplacis menander #butterfly outside my kitchen window. A new species for @casabentbill.bsky.social (and for me). These have a wide range from Mexico to southern Brazil, but they aren't common.

It's really good! It's kind of a savoury, nutty flavour, so great in a mushroom soup or stir fry 😋 and it doesn't soak up a lot of water, so you cleaning them is easier than it seems!
