De behoedzaamheid van het prachtige dier dier was mooi om te zien, geen spoor van paniek, maar wel wegwezen richting een plek zonder mensen.

im starting a mycorrhizal network so if your a plant or another fungus or just have a rootlike structure for some other reason (i dont judge) you can join it by sinking into some soil near you

Looking at tree bark, I found this fungus that looks like amethyst.

Colors neutral and unedited.

A relatively flat fungus full of holes against tree bark. It is purple like amethyst. There are multiple things this could be and in this stage I’m not sure which it is.

This photo shows the underside of the magically fantastical Orange Pore Fungus, Favolaschia claudopus. It's hard to describe the pore structure of this invasive species of fungi (in this location), but each tiny rounded heart-shaped mushroom fruiting body has elaborate, almost honeycomb-looking structure, though rounded rather than with straight hexagonal edges. The background shows the out of focus brown duff of the forest floor, with a few flecks of green thrown in there nilly-willy.

Gum trees (eucalyptus) do this weird thing where their whole bark just peels off and they grow a new one.
The bark strips then litter the surroundings.

They also smell great.
