Not surprising is it? Boris Johnson said inflation didn't matter and woosh the profiteers weighed in. So much UK money is locked up in housing due to high land prices, sky high rents and high utility bills that many people have next to nothing left for spending on much else given food costs on top.

Farage has given up the pretence that he barely knew Nathan Gill. He can't do otherwise, given the flood of evidence to the contrary.

Here is Gill saying he's just come from having lunch with Farage on the day that Farage resigned as UKIP leader 4 July 2016?

Typical of The Mail and others. Weak journalism; with online versions often slacker than print ones.

What a combination. Blair and Clegg. What could possibly be going wrong here?

Wasn't Trump President when some Portland shops were boarded up after unrest linked to George Floyd's death? Classic case of old person remembering past and thinking must still be the case??

But headline is wrong. You cannot 'lose' a Nobel Prize. It is not some kind of race. This is the kind of thing that seems so wrong with some people's thinking.

.... And Brexit... but that had money making behind it as it was designed to drive deregulation and privatisation and literally nothing else.

Starmer blaming #Brexit for tax rises may be accurate but when only 37% of a now disproportionately dead electorate voted for it almost 10 yrs ago, based on undeliverable lies, the questions are why should the rest of us stomach it & where is Labour’s plan to change that? archive.ph/2025.10.10-2...

I completed a PhD in Physics at MIT in '03. Even when the intensity seemed to be off-scale, there was one piece that I never doubted: the place had integrity, purpose, and passion.

It's clear the culture and drive of MIT remains.

MIT says no to the compact.

In our view, America’s leadership in science and innovation depends on independent thinking and open competition for excellence. In that free marketplace of ideas, the people of MIT gladly compete with the very best, without preferences. Therefore, with respect, we cannot support the proposed approach to addressing the issues facing higher education.

As you know, MIT’s record of service to the nation is long and enduring. Eight decades ago, MIT leaders helped invent a scientific partnership between America’s research universities and the U.S. government that has delivered extraordinary benefits for the American people. We continue to believe in the power of this partnership to serve the nation.

Sincerely,
Sally Kornbluth

How about fungus spotting this weekend? Look for white-spotted red fly agarics – classic ‘toadstool’ in children’s books, scarlet elfcaps or shaggy parasols. See: www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/fungi Don’t be tempted to eat any fungi unless you really know what you are doing.

In the two years after the Brexit referendum, the BBC almost entirely silenced the 50% who supported staying in the EU, but now it gives massive coverage to fascists with only 30%.

The BBC is politically corrupt. It must be reformed.

I see Reform UK are on #BBCQT again tonight, would one of the other panelists kindly ask

Is it fiscally responsible for Nathan Gill to make anti EU, pro Russia statements in exchange for bribes

But for Nigel Farage to make anti EU, pro Russia statements, without bribes?

This is quite literally, anti-science.

It is what happens when ideologues fit the data to the narrative and not the other way around. With these leaders in charge, HHS will generate junk discoveries, junk findings, and ultimately, junk cures.

Americans must turn elsewhere for guidance.
