I'm learning this late in life myself. But I'll add to this: Find people who ENCOURAGE you to do this. I'm very lucky to have two amazing partners who not only push me to try new things but also keep my spirits up and push me to keep going when I get frustrated with my progress.
However old you think is too old to make a change, you're wrong.
Start a new hobby, start a new career, learn a new skill, do what will fulfill you!
