I'm rewatching Star Trek Voyager and thought it would be fun to do 1 Skeet Reviews of every episode. I'm well into Season 2 and I'll start where I am. But if you'd like my thoughts on any particular prior episode, reply and request it.

S3 E5 False Profits

This was dumb. Obviously meant to be funny, but I didn't laugh once, that I can recall.

Ferengi episodes without Quark just don't work.

Dave & Busters sucks.

Which is lame. Should be a slam dunk. Just Chuck E Cheese for adults.

S3 E4 The Swarm

A frightening enemy, who takes a backseat and we learn little about them.

Mostly the Doctor is going through it. First time we meet Zimmerman, which is fun. The Doctor's fate is left ambiguous at the end, which is am interesting choice. Not sure what happens next to him.

S3 E3 The Chute

Harry and Tom's friens ship continues to blossom in beautiful ways. Janeway is a total badass.

Yet overall, the episode was... Fine. Largely forgettable, I fear. Also, the prison was so dimly lit I could hardly see half the scenes.

S3 E2 Flashback

So much fun! We really missed out on a Captain Sulu show. Takei is a delight. The sets and costumes are lovely.

I adore Janeway and Tuvok's relationship. So much love and trust between friends.

Only downside is watching the same flashback like 20 times. Gets annoying.

Watched John Wicks 2–4 this week. 2 & 3 were very good. 4 was disappointing.

I wanted to see him systematically hunt down and eviscerate the High Table. And it starts like that! Then he spends most of the movie on the run from a little bitch boy. Terrible villain.

S3 E1 Basics Pt 2

Great to see Suder Dying Hard through the ship while grappling with his violence and desire for change. Great character, acted well by the guy who plays Wormtongue in LOTR.

I hated Tuvok remarking about how indigenous "savages" care only for violence. Not very Vulcan of him.

S2 E26 Basics Pt 1

First two parter of the show. Great to see Suder return after Meld. Seska is the absolute worst.

I don't remember any of this! I also don't recall Chakotay having a baby, so I'm not convinced it will survive Pt 2.

Solid first half.

S2 E25 Resolutions

Feels like this just existed to show sexual tension between Chakotay and Janeway. Which I can't recall them ever following up on.

Then again, great to see Tuvok leading the ship. He does a stellar job. He'd be a fine Captain.

He might be my favorite character of the show.

S2 E24 Tuvix

The most heated debate with Voyager. Was Captain Janeway in the right? I don't think there IS a right answer here, which is why its still debated.

I'll let him live in the videogame.

Must say that the performance of Tuvix by Tom Wright is brilliant. Compelling and nuanced. #tuvix

It DOES feel like TOS, now that you mention it.

Also, no argument here about McKean. Nice to see Mr. Green in such a different role.

S2 E23 The Thaw

But on the plus side, the magic beans are horrible for the environment!

S2 E22 Innocence

A whole race of Benjamin Buttonses. Did not see that coming.

A fine episode with some character development for Tuvok.

Solid, but forgettable.

S2 E21 Deadlock

Voyager's first true disaster. Unexpected ending. Great stuff.

Though, everyone seems a tad nonchalant at the end.

And what did they do with the dead baby? Incinerate it? Keep it in a jar? Airlock? Inquiring minds want to know!

S2 E20 Investigations

Redemption for the B plot of Meld. Nice to see the show have a plot thread through a few episodes, which was unusual for this era of Trek (outside of DS9).

It's a fun episode. Neelix is given something to do beyond comic relief, which I like.

I remember reading a preview or two of it. Never actually played it, but it sounded neat. Was it any good?

Has he tried to mail any other cats to Abu Dhabi?

In total sincerity, I want to see John Wick vs a coterie of vampires.

Finally watched American Psycho for the first time (despite having seen the majority of the film in gif form thanks to @patbateman17.bsky.social).

Jared Leto gets chopped up with an Axe in the first 1/3 of the film.

10/10, would watch again.

S2 E19 Lifesigns

Interesting follow up to an episode about assisted suicide. A woman who'd rather die than live with her disease. Asks what gives life meaning, especially when one's life is full of suffering.

It's some of the best romance Trek has ever done, frankly. It's lovely.
