them pipes are fine, the "50 year" was more of a guideline

but, quakes, big trucks driving over, construction, etc ... they all add up.

they're better than the asbestos shit that came later -- and the modern plastic that gets used on some cheap jobs.

We got our central library back. There's proper pipes down Taranaki street now. No sewage dripping down Cuba street and Lambton Quay. There's a much safer cycle routes between city and airport, and the basin. The buses aren't cancelled every day

What a difference from Wellington three years ago.

Turnout is lower so far in this year's local elections, especially in wards that vote Left. You can still vote by 12 noon Saturday by putting your completed ballot paper in the orange bins at Supermarkets and other locations.

Be careful interpreting political polls.

As much as it's nice to see Aotearoa reacting to our government being awful, nz political contentment is heavily influenced by how the All Blacks are doing than actual politics.

And they recently lost to South Africa.

I get that many people can't see that an image is AI gen. What i don't understand is how offended they are when you tell them.

Knowing how to spot it (and seriously it's pretty obvious in some images) is a skill you gotta have these days. And if u not gonna learn it, accept you'll get it wrong
