Contrary to what some liberal critics say, John Roberts has kept his pledge to only call balls and strikes. He never promised that the strike zone would be the same for Democrats and Republicans.

If Elon Musk could speak coherently about the EU, its history, why it was formed, and even some basic facts for more than 30 seconds, I’d be astonished.

Sure would be great if Dems could also talk about the fascism.
Mark Kelly: “Jobs are down. Wages are flat. Costs are up & this President is asleep — Like literally, he’s falling asleep on the job. It’s hurting the American people — He’s doing nothing to try to help people with the cost of groceries, rent, & healthcare”
December 6, 2025 at 6:42 PM
You would think every single elected Dem would be doing this but instead Jeffries is giving Trump attaboys and Mark Kelly is voting to confirm anti-abortion zealots to the Supreme Court and generally trying to win votes by being just-slightly-less-bad than the GOP.
I am curious if there is anyone here who would be willing to do a six month deployment to Congress where they just object to literally everything, direct their leg staff to force one impeachment vote a day, and deal with all the threats and bullying from the establishment until Trump is removed.

I want my local police to police ICE.

THAT’s what I want my taxes to do.

This is why Dems suck: because no matter how token and flaccid their opposition (three backbenchers, leadership never pushed impeachment), legions of Dem faithful will parrot the lines “they’re fighting for us!” and send $5.
Some include Rep. Al Green and Rep. Shri Thanedar, along with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who have all formally written up various articles of impeachment. It’s hard to vote on any article of impeachment when Mike Johnson actually denies the House the opportunity to vote.
December 6, 2025 at 2:32 AM
And Dems will go on helping confirm his judges and praising him on the border and immigration and our slide into fascism will just keep going.

Is a united front against fascism too much to ask for?
Mark Kelly is being directly targeted by Trump and he’s responding to those threats - good! - but then Kelly goes and votes to confirm one of Trump’s judicial nominees.

Why would you actively help your abuser? Come on, Dems. Show some damn courage and insight.

The easiest thing for Democrats to do would be to stop confirming Trump judges, but they can’t even be bothered to do that. Just failure all the way down.

I really hate these people.

The U.S. Supreme Court: "ICE can racially profile people it arrests."

Also, the U.S. Supreme Court: "Texas can disenfranchise voters based on race."

Can we all agree that we currently have a white supremacist Supreme Court?

All elected Dems are capable of doing is wishcasting into the air.

No statement of "if he doesn't resign, we will do X."

Just "Oh, I wish he'll resign," because, you know, vile Republicans always do what Dem cowards ask them to.
Pete Hegseth is not qualified to serve as Secretary of Defense. Our troops deserve better.

He must resign.
December 4, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Spoiler: None of the Dems currently elected to congress have the courage or conviction to act.

Hakeem Jeffries will probably soon be praising Trump's efforts to fight drug smuggling.
Relatedly, DOJ OLC just denied my request for expedited processing for communications around these strikes.

If someone in Congress doesn't find the courage and conviction to act, it will be years until the public sees any of this stuff.
Senator Mark Kelly has seen the Trump admin's classified justification for the boat strikes and said they should be released to the public. Kelly can release the info himself due legislative immunity; but when asked if he would, did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

And let us not forget that this happened with almost zero resistance or outcry from Democrats.

Instead, we got "we all agree we need to cut waste" from Jeffries, who's now saying the same thing about ICE.
This fetid landmark, this historical stain on humanity is primarily due to the stunningly reckless obliteration of America's foreign assistance agency earlier this year.

Led by the richest man on earth. In secret, on a weekend. With zero analysis or discussion of its catastrophic impacts.

Dems will move on by tomorrow. Jeffries will say “you’ve got to hand it to them, drugs are bad, credit where credit is due,” Schumer will go have a photo with AIPAC, and they’ll all mumble about “investigations” and there will be zero consequences.
Pete Hegseth bears responsibility for THIS

(hat tip @natashabertrand.bsky.social)
December 4, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Hegseth will get away with it, just like Trump will, and just like they all will, and just like they all did last time.

America is allergic to holding powerful right-wing politicians accountable. From Nixon to Bush II to Cheney to Yoo to the entire Trump I cabinet - they never need to worry.
whether hegseth gets away with it remains to be seen but it is interesting to see that he thought trump handed him a license to murder with this job, no questions asked, and now questions are definitely being asked.

Every last German alive in 1945 was morally responsible for what their country did and deserved every misfortune that befell them.

America in 2025 is no different. We are all morally culpable for the awful that we are now inflicting on ourselves and on the world, and we deserve every consequence.

Quislings like this are how the Dems get away with being useless. No matter how awful, no matter how useless, no matter how much Dems fail to oppose, no matter how much they enable, you have these “well they’re better than the GOP, if you ask for more you’re helping the GOP win.”
Sorry but even with the lack of leadership from Schumer and Jeffries the Democratic Party is BETTER than the 10%-less-awful-than-the-GOP-platform
trump sent troops to cities, arrested and brutalized American citizens, deported a LESS-than-criminal element, lied about it to Congress
Need enthusiasm?
When your entire electoral strategy is “try to convert some republicans, no matter how much it enrages your base and makes them lack any enthusiasm to turn up, and then you can blame them for not voting hard enough for your crappy 10%-less-awful-than-the-GOP platform,” it makes perfect sense.

Someone asked me a good question on here. How do we stop ICE from violating our constitutional rights. We don't. Our local elected officials do that job. Our Governor, or Sheriffs our mayors, Police. They stop ICE. With force if necessary. That's how you stop ICE from pulling us out of our homes.

Hakeem Jeffries will never lead the Dems where they need to go in order to help the people.

He will choose restoration over reform because he has been groomed by the Establishment.

I wish people could finally accept this.

Rep. Cuellar who Trump pardoned is a the anti abortion DEMOCRATIC candidate that the entire Dem establishment went to the mat for when he faced a meaningful primary challenge. They supported his campaign at the expense of a dozen other Dem races nationwide. THIS is our Democratic Party.
