i've started a warrior cats clangen comic (and have forgotten to post the first chapter here for months), you can read it on tumblr @fourandtwentyblackbirds-clangen or on comic fury
stormpaw (a large fluffy grey tomcat) and shadepaw (a sleek charcoal bengal molly) narrating: my mentor says we set ourselves apart as a clan with one simple rule: [split panel, shalehoney (a pale gold molly) and hollyhockstorm (a speckled red molly with one white ear), simultaneously] shalehoney: blood for blood. if we lose a fight, we all lose it. every last one. hollyhockstorm: don't fuck with us. if you bite we'll bite back, no matter the consequences. narration: it started as a weapon, a reputation carefully crafted to deter even the larger clans. [the deputy rattles off names, hollyhock, falls, sun, stone, ripple, and departs with a large group of cats] narration: 'win or lose you'll be wading in blood. back off. we're more trouble than we're worth.' narration: we who remained behind that day, we knew we weren't being spared. [stormpaw and shadepaw look on, him impassive, her sharp] narration: a fight had been started, and win or lose all our paths inevitably ended in that gaping maw. [shadepaw and stormpaw stand together and watch the rescue party head out, focusing on puddlepaw vanishing into the distance down the shallow green riverbed of a starkly lit slot canyon] it's some time later, massive clouds float overhead, the moon turning their edges brilliant. sandsight (a solid white and yellow molly with brown eyes) sits on a stump protruding from a massive live tree, purple in the darkness. below her, otterbriar (a slinky bluegreen spotted tom with yellow eyes) paces the camp floor restlessly in the moonlight. sandsight: otterbriar. calm down. they're fine. it takes a day just to get there. we won't hear anything until tomorrow night at the earliest. otterbriar:we don't know that. the others weren't. they could be hurt out there. they could be- sandsight, firmly: otter. sandsight: go. get some rest. (he looks away sulkily) sandsight: you'll wear me out with your pacing. go. otterbriar (a slinky bluegreen spotted tom with yellow eyes) stares at sandsight (a solid white and yellow molly with brown eyes) defiantly for a long moment before the tension drops from his shoulders. the moonlight is dwindling, another cloud is passing in front of the moon. otterbriar: fine. he pads sulkily over to the base of the massive tree, ears pressed flat, and climbs it in several leaps. otterbriar (a slinky bluegreen spotted tom with yellow eyes) curls up in his nest on a bough. as he falls asleep, a tall silver molly with a pale throat, surrounded by stars, haunts his rest. he finds himself among the stars and the honored dead. they are ghostly, save for the silver molly, and sparkle with stars, but his colors are supersaturated. he's standing on the surface of a still silver pond in a dark, star-filled void. his paws send ripples through the water. the silver molly's do not. otterbriar looks at her and asks: ash?

Forever indecisive about colours, the curse of photoshop

TEKKONKINKREET One thing that was fun but also complicated was the large number of costume changes. Shiro had EIGHT outfits (included naked). Black also eight (not counting the Minotaur).
