Yeah and the game has to treat you neutrally to accommodate every type of person too so it always comes off generic. My biggest problem with DT was that they can't give you real interactions with the lore or characters so you're just there while they do actual character writing with Wuk Lamat

I think I might be an outlier when it comes to FFXIV WoLs because outside of playing dress up and making sure she looks nice, I don't really have too much emotional attachment or headcanons about her since she's ultimately written by someone else

I am honestly fine with the Department of War because it just makes the US military interests so naked in what it stands for. Don't play pretend and HR-ify things like "defense spending". It's an organization that kills people and it should make you uncomfortable to acknowledge it
