I will give Suozzi more credit than he gives himself. He knew what the vote was. He just figured the way to "win" was to support the funding because that's more "centrist" and buck the Democratic majority. But morally, he knew what this was about. He ended up wrong morally AND politically.

Blue State governors need to join in a federal lawsuit against Homeland to maintain their ICE personnel records for potential future state charges against ICE agents.
Trump can't pardon people with State charges and if these storm troopers know that no mask will save them they might act differently

One distinction of America always was that we did not have an national internal police force to keep It's citzens in line, like the KGB or the Stasi. The FBI is an investigative force but policing was left to the states. DHS and ICE changed that by giving Trump an easy way to create that (1)

With all of Trump's horrific actions, we should always be aware of what he is trying to distract us from. It is no longer just Epstein but also the fact he is diverting Venezuela's oil revenue to a Quatari bank account under his control.

I was in high school and lived an hour away when Kent State. The difference between Minneapolis and Kent State is:
1) Social media- the comments are immediate and reckless by the government.
2) Political forces worried about what the voters thought rather than one segment.
