So Mullin wants to punish poorer people who are stuck living near a dump or factory that emits toxic pollution because they constantly get sick and can’t afford to move

It punishes kids who have no choice where they live

People also can’t change their genetics

His ideas, like him, is idiotic
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

If you have to get permission to teach in your area of expertise from people who are definitionally not qualified to adjudicate your expertise then you are no longer working at a university.

You’re working at a state propaganda factory.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Texas A&M adopts policy requiring professors to get OK from school president to discuss certain race and gender issues.

Nothing says there’s no such thing as structural racism quite like banning discussion of structural racism
Texas A&M Tightens Rules on Talking About Race and Gender in Classes www.nytimes.com/2025/11/13/u...

“The policy defines race ideology as, among other things, ‘a concept that attempts to shame a particular race or ethnicity.’”

These GOP-led efforts will ruin their states’ public universities. Sad!

Let me fix that for you:

Texas A&M is limiting how instructors may discuss gender identity and race in classrooms in an assault on academic freedom unseen in America since the Red Scare.

Santa: Dear President Trump, due to your tariffs the cost to make toys this year is too costly

Trump: WHAT?!? How dare you question the affordability of goods. Haven’t you heard, prices are down everywhere. No one has done a better job than me

Now, for Christmas I want everything gilded in gold

Christianity Today is an influential magazine in Evangelical circles, and it's a noteworthy signpost that they're doing stories like this because it's the kind of story that pops bubbles.

A Colombian couple prayed with neighbors and raised their children in one of America’s most influential churches. What did we gain from their deportation?

There are so many words historically that are just catch-all “boogeyman” terms

Socialist
Communist
Marxist
CRT
Woke
Liberal

In Reconstruction some Republicans were called “Radical” because they had the audacity to push for racial equality

R’s today just want to starve people
Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I give you the president of the United States

What kind of human being, let alone president, should have to be court-ordered to use money set aside to FREAKIN USE THAT MONEY TO HELP PEOPLE EAT

And the same day stand by unmoved as someone needs medical attention not 10 feet away

Sociopath
November 6, 2025 at 9:30 PM
He feels the need to display strength so much he doesn’t want to be seen with sick, disabled, or “weak” people.

What he is, is weak, uncaring (sociopath) even when there is someone with a medical emergency just 10 feet from him in the people’s office. Trump won’t even look at him/her

When people voted last night it was/is still about price of food. Trump went on 60 minutes and lied that prices were going down.

Here is the sale price of steak per pound from 2023 to 2025. Price is up more than 45%

Mamdani got a humanities degree.

His win helps to illustrate that one of the central forces driving higher ed’s dissolution of the humanities is the fear that teaching people how power works can also lead to their interest in seizing it on behalf of the less powerful.

[taps mic]: and what about the victims?
Trump on Prince Andrew and the Epstein scandal: "I feel very badly. I mean, it's a terrible thing that's happened to the family. That's been a tragic situation. And it's too bad. I feel badly for the family."

How about we stop focusing on the very few “undeserving poor” who abuse aid and focus instead on the wealthy corporations who abuse the benefits like SNAP to exploit their workers and keep wages depressed

Walmart did this while making record profits and giving huge CEO salaries

People like Stephen Miller et al who disappear people, even if it’s technically legal, are ALWAYS on the wrong side of history

Capturing Black Americans under the fugitive slave act was “legal” but those who did it are still seen as racist a-holes

And let’s not forget Solomon Northrop
Stephen Miller on Fox threatens to arrest JB Pritzker for "seditious conspiracy" and says, "to all ICE officers: you have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. And anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop or obstruct you is committing a felony."

Historian here: Reagan quote on tariffs in 1987:

“And today many economic analysts and historians argue that high tariff legislation passed back in that period called the Smoot-Hawley tariff greatly deepened the depression and prevented economic recover”
