There's a new post up on the website explaining the basics of ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed, using the venerable old Exposure Triangle. I know it's been done to death, but I have so many folks on photo safaris who don't understand exposure or what a "stop" of light is!

I was a misfit in high school. A photographer/artist/naturalist, a handful of friends got it. One of those just commented on FB, "You are the only one, that I can remember, who knew exactly who you were and what you wanted to do as a kid and did it! I love your posts and photography"

Yesterday we lucked into perfect conditions for making photographs of Yellowstone's Old Faithful! Dark background, quartering wind, and a sunbeam blazed down and lit the geyser like it was in an art gallery. 😍

24 years ago, and so fresh in my mind. This made us all stand shoulder to shoulder as a nation, and also the world stood shoulder to shoulder with America.
Such a stark contrast to today. Will the sacrifice and pain of 911 just fade from our collective memory, to be replaced by hate and fascism?
