A nice prominence eruption was observed on Thursday morning off the west limb beginning around 07:00 UTC (July 3). This resulted in a fairly bright coronal mass ejection (CME) that is directed to the west and away from Earth.
Still a work in progress, but here is my draft of the Crescent Nebula. Processing this particular object has its own unique challenges which are helping me develop my post-processing skills. #astrophotography #astronomy

X-Flare Alert. Sunspot region 4114 just produced an X1.9 solar flare peaking at 23:50 UTC (Jun 19). More details to follow. SolarHam.com
Ok, guys, this does indeed look like a false alarm. Some bad data was submitted and got sent out on AAVSO's network. Had a follower confirm that T CrB is no where this bright. Its always important to confirm data independently in this field.
Some caution here with T CrB. We might have a nova or it could be bad data. I’m looking for more data for confirmation. #BlazeStar #Astronomy #Astrophotography #Science #DeepSkyPhotography #TCrB

Here is MoM-z14, the most distant galaxy spectroscopically confirmed to date.

It is an extraordinarily luminous galaxy, discovered by a research team using #JWST, which has broken its previous record.

It looks like we may be getting some good aurora displays in the coming days because this very active region on the Sun. Keep an eye on the aurora forecast.
A long duration eruption reaching the M8+ level is currently in progress around AR 4100 near center disk. This event is likely going to produce a coronal mass ejection. Stay tuned. SolarHam.com
