Portland Folks: if you're in town Saturday and want something to go to aside from the No Kings protest, or after, the Portland Defense Fund is holding a street fair on Clinton St in SE.

Flier for the Defense Fund PDX Street Fair in October 18th from 2-7 PM on Clinton St and 25th. Music vendors raffle family friendly. All proceeds to the bail fund.

It's bizarre to me how people romanticize revolution or fetishize war, but I guess that's because so many people's only experience is through the lens of propaganda. This explains why they similarly FREAK OUT when it actually arrives at their doorstep. See school murders vs podcaster murder.

It's amazing how many people obviously never read 1984, or their comprehension skills are so underdeveloped that they failed to understand who the Party propaganda is actually intended for.

Took the kiddo to see Tron: Ares today. Didn't have high expectations, but you know what? We enjoyed it. It looked cooled, it sounded cool. Years from now it will be a fond childhood memory and he'll want to watch it again with this old man. Isn't that good enough? I think so.

Ha! It looks like Avi Loeb silently edited his Medium post about the Perseverance Navcam images, after being called out for his wrong interpretation.
While he previously claimed the image was of 3I/Atlas, he now says the claim came from "social media". 🔭

There are a couple of sites where citizens can report sightings of bolides. The info gets reviewed and if possible they triangulate the likely path.
