My cousin came to town last minute. Spent a lovely evening with her, my aunt, and my uncle, celebrating her birthday and catching up on life's happenings. Ma famille est très unie.

Always striving to actualize the importance of a person giving themself a bit of leeway, some slack, a few do-overs, several helpings of try-again, many moments of reflection, a couple pats-on-the-back, generous amounts of approach-it-a-different-way, and a solid sprinkling of live-and-learn.

Simple reminder: when you see social media numbers such as likes and views, especially from certain "sites", they lack any credibility whatsoever at this point. So, two million views can be just six views in reality, if that. It's really become meaningless manipulated data.

Each day, my cats find me no matter what I'm up to, plop down in my lap, and just contently remain there waiting to be pet, inevitably drawing me back into simply enjoying the present moment in their company before they meander off on their adventures, only to return several times, schedule unknown.

Challenging to ascertain how much of a page/pages an action scene should occupy since a land, sea, sky, or space vehicle chase, personal pursuit, scuffle, full-on melee, ranged combat, daring escapes, and such can be choreographed and captured in such varying ways and scopes.

When do you think the 8,200,000,000 non-billionaires will collectively realize there's no reason to allow any of the 2,800 billionaires to harm non-billionaires? When does it sink in finally that non-billionaires always have the power to not sustain any billionaires who harm any non-billionaires?

A floating servant of the underworld traverses the night sky of the mortal realm circumnavigating the globe so as to remain forever in the shadow of the world collecting and guarding its prisoners. It may be glimpsed out of the corner of the eye by those who wrong others.

A floating chunk of rock from the underworld crossing the waning crescent moon skies of the mortal realm. A giant bladed beastly tentacle protrudes from it. Many chains slink out from orange glowing holes in the rock's surface, ending in patches of darkness, some of which imprison pale ghostly souls collected from the world below. It glides silently from dusk till dawn but since it moves around the world dawn never arrives for it, an eternal warden guarding its condemned passengers. Though usually invisible to most sky watchers, mortals occasionally can glimpse it out of the corner of their eye after they have wronged others.

Enjoying a chill day of screenwriting. I know how to do the effects, so I'm trying not to limit the scope. It's a sci-fi adventure. I've already got ideas for the score, too. Likely have to travel to different regions for some settings. Coming together solidly.

I think many people just assume successful people have had lots of great opportunities without realizing many have just had exceptionally horrifying and/or tragic things happen to them that don't allow them to ever become complacent about stagnation and not striving forward.

I'm working on learning more Spanish and Portuguese. Late members of my family were fluent. I can read them fairly well. Trying to get them to at least my fluency level in French, so combined I can be better equipped to enjoy exploring Latin America and the South Pacific.

The soundscape is storytelling. Has its greatest potential when factored in early, during pre-production, not saved for last in post. Planning for, say, a particular-feeling score and related sound f/x entirely reshapes the perception of what's on screen.
