"Toronto is not interested in trading futures" is a very political-speak way of saying "we have no futures anyone wants in a trade".
• Elliotte Friedman doesn’t think Craig Berube’s job is going anywhere right now

• Friedman also noted that Toronto is not interested in trading futures(ex. Cowan) for a player or their top core(34, 91, 88, 23, or even 44). They want to make hockey trades, “roster-for-roster”

More info on #2:
Report: Maple Leafs Looking For 'Roster-For-Roster' Trade Following Slow Start To Season
Friedman adds that Toronto isn't interested in trading futures for a roster player.

If Charlie McAvoy is a minor penalty, why is Charlie McAvoy not penalized?

These refs man... smdh

That was perhaps the most Max Domi thing ever. Take a stupid penalty that directly hurts the team but has his praises sung for fake tough guy bullshit.

I didn't even know Steeves was on their roster but that was just automatic lol

#Leafs prospect Harry Nansi (#34) with another four points today. On this absurd six game streak he's on, he's put up 16 points. That's catapulted him up the leaderboards to a tie for 3rd in the entire OHL with 30 points in 20 games. He's been a playmaking machine.

#Leafs prospect Tyler Hopkins cleans up the rebound for his 7th goal of the season, breaking a five game pointless streak.

Celebrini is stupid-good.

#Leafs prospect Ben Danford with another 2 assists in Brantford's 5-4 win last night. He has 6 points in 4 games since being traded, and is now up to 10 points in 12 games on the season. His offensive game is really blossoming. Hitting stretch passes, jumping into the play more. It's fun to see.

#Leafs prospect Tinus Luc Koblar (#44 in white, the net front guy) with his second powerplay goal of the game for Norway's mens team against Hungary today. This one is a nice deflection from a point shot.

#Leafs prospect Tinus Luc Koblar (#44 in white), playing as the 2LW for Norway's men's team in the European Cup of Nations tournament, scores their first goal on the powerplay.

Matthew Knies, tied for 5th in the league in assists.

Funnily enough, tied with Nylander.

Hilariously enough, two more than Marner.
November 6, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Oh hey, a bigger reason to watch the Marlies again!
Maple Leafs send Easton Cowan to the Marlies and activate Scott Laughton from the IR.

Cowan had been playing well in the NHL but with five games in 10 days for the Marlies beginning tonight, there's lots more playing time available in the AHL.

#Leafs prospect Harry Nansi (#34 in black and red) with a rare morning game, has another two assists in their 6-4 loss. He now has a four game point streak where he has 13 points! On the season, he's up to 24 points in 18 games.

EVERYONE SHUT UP THIS IS THE MOMENT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR FOR THREE YEARS
NIKITA GREBENKIN. FIRST CAREER NHL GOAL TIES IT 4-4.

"Good on the Isles teammates for jumping Zadorov to defend their star rookie"

Are those the same teammates that are now piled on top of that star rookie's body on the ice along with several Bruins they dragged down with them? Because that's not exactly my definition of "protect" lol

In the second??? How about they "get it" right away in the FIRST period when the game starts!

It's pretty hilarious and awesome that Knies already has 12 assists. He had 29 in all of last season, and he's only played like a dozen games so far.

#Leafs prospect Miroslav Holinka is going off in the third period today. He walks in all alone and undresses the poor goaltender for his 3rd point of the period, and 22nd point of the season in 15 games.
