By targeting #dental professionals, Philip Morris is seeking to embed its own narratives into professional norms, continuing education, and patient care.

So exactly 75 years today (May 27) since 1950 publication in JAMA of Wynder & Graham landmark paper on smoking and lung cancer. 75 years on, over 8 million deaths a year, and the tobacco industry still flourishes, knowingly selling and promoting a lethal product.

🆕 Heated Tobacco Products #HTPs are promoted as being less harmful to health than smoking.

However, new research from @tcrgbath.bsky.social has found that the data on this from clinical trials is inconclusive, even compared to cigarettes.
