Mama. Writer. Bothell City Councilmember Elect.
Pinned
Grateful to serve as Bothell City Councilmember, Pos 5.

I didn’t run a loud campaign, just stayed rooted in community, care, and the belief that small acts of service matter.

The work ahead is about listening, showing up, and building the kind of city where everyone belongs.

Thank you, Bothell.

I Believe I Can Lie

Megyn Kelly sounds like R. Kelly in her defense of Jeffrey Epstein. She's trying to bump n' grind her way back to primetime, but pimping a pedo isn't the career ignition she thinks it is.

@longreads.com I'd like to nominate my essay for @opensecretsmag.bsky.social as an editor's pick. It's about me learning how to accept my postmenopausal body, especially my hips after a lifetime at war.

LOL but we are supposed to believe these people will storm the polls to vote Democrats out and their faves in!

Oh ok!!
WA voter turnout generally was incredibly low

you can have nice things if you just bother to show up

hell, you don't even need to show up, this is a mail in ballot state, you just have to walk your ass to the post box
Washington’s 2025 voter turnout tracks among lowest on record
King County expecting about 45% participation despite fewer than 20% of voters having returned ballots so far.

We are strongest because we reflect the diversity of the nation.

Stop trying to engineer the “perfect” type. Start recruiting people who can actually connect with the people in front of them.

Tonight, was another reminder: there is no single mold for a Democratic winner.

Progressives won. Moderates won. Rural, suburban, urban —they all won. Black, White, Latino, AAPI — they all won. We won in the East, South, Midwest and West. Victories in races from City Council to Governor.

PLEASE vote in local elections–mayors (of small towns, even), board members, etc. They have a direct effect on your life AND are currently the last line of defense against destructive federal policies. In many places so few people vote for city council etc. that your 1 vote can change the result

Thrilled to share that my essay “Stop.” has been accepted by @bloodhoneylit.bsky.social.

This piece came from a raw place—one of those moments you don’t plan to write about until it won’t stop living in your chest. I’m grateful to the editors for seeing its heart and giving it a home.

My latest essay was accepted by @muthamagazine.bsky.social, a publication that digs into the messy, beautiful realities of motherhood.

It’s about love, fear, and watching your child thrive.

Grateful to the MUTHA editors for their thoughtful edits and care. Can’t wait to share it soon. 💛 #booksky
