Here’s a story for every national news outlet:

In N.C., churchgoers are literally running into the woods as federal agents descend on the property.

“Inside the church, women and children sobbed as they wondered whether their loved ones had been taken.”

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

i've been saying... if the Dems truly want to build a generational majority, the first thing an incoming administration should do is nail some CEOs' scalps to the wall

people are absolutely desperate to see anyone in power actually held to account. elite impunity is the root of all our problems

Elites do not care about “democracy” except inasmuch as they support any system of social organization in which they personally are elites. Now that they’ve figured out they can maintain their elevated status without democracy, they will all shrug and go about their frictionless lives.

The lack of , I dunno what to call it, elite concern over a chunk of the White House being arbitrarily torn down kinda fits my idea the American empire ends not with a bang but with everyone just wandering away, people just stop showing up to work etc

Chicago Mayor Issues Defiant Call For A General Strike
It was an audacious proposal, given that the U.S. has never held a true, nationwide general strike.

To be expected, our United airlines flight is delayed out of Dublin because of the US side/issues with air traffic control.

What’s not to be expected is they didn’t send me any email or text to let us know the flight was delayed 2.5 hours, so we found out as we arrived at the airport.

Incredible.

Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.

Imagine seeing all the harm being done to the nation and the world right now and thinking “vote blue no matter who is the way” instead of “this moment is radicalizing and I will accept nothing but the extreme opposite of this”

Given the Supreme Court ruling I think it's even more important that we refer to what is happening in Los Angeles and elsewhere with ICE as ethnic cleansing. The US government is engaged in a violent campaign of ethnic cleansing that has already cost at least two lives.

I am not seeing "Constitutional amendment reversing Citizens United" on any of these New Reconstruction wishlists folks are circulating, and.

Absent starting over from scratch, I don't see us establishing any semblance of democracy here without that plus Supreme Court expansion.
