Really enjoyed this - for those (like me) who were bereft when we left Ruth behind there’s a new gang to fall in love with. I can’t wait to revisit Ali and Dina and Bud and John in the next in the series 🥰
And I loved the combination of time travel and crime - added loads of intrigue and twists 🤓

I have bought books because an author has shouted about it on social media - and I’m not sure why that feels different to a blurb on the book itself 🤷🏻‍♀️
Maybe it’s that they are all just super positive in generally quite a generic way so the meaning becomes lost 🫠

The whole blurb thing is interesting. As an author I was so delighted when people I admired read my book and said lovely things about it, and I love shouting about other people’s books. However, as a reader an author blurb has never propelled me to buy a book 🤷🏻‍♀️

Always in awe of the people who save up their Waterstones points and go on an epic book shopping spree at the end of the year/on their birthday but I will always be a person who redeems them at the earliest possible moment 😂
