5/ In tegenstelling tot in Vlaanderen, ontvangen de Waalse studiecentra een vorm van directe overheidsfinanciering voor de permanente educatie die ze organiseren. Dat op zich is al een incentive om een aparte organisatie – en dus niet een dienst binnen de partij – op poten te zetten.

4/ Het gegeven dat Bouchez ‘het studiecentrum’ naar Vlaanderen brengt en niet meteen de partij is iets wat voor Vlaamse partijen vandaag moeilijk zou zijn. In Vlaanderen is er namelijk amper een onderscheid tussen ‘de partij’ en ‘de studiedienst’

3/ In Wallonië is er – zoals in Nederland – sprake van studiediensten die een entiteit op zich zijn, zeg maar ‘afzonderlijk’ van de partij. Die autonomie is natuurlijk relatief omdat ze wel degelijk expliciet verbonden zijn aan de partij en zonder de partij weinig (geen) bestaansreden zouden hebben.

2/ Bij vele Vlaamse studiediensten is dit niet langer het geval, ze zijn een dienst van de partij en worden ingezet om de partij te assisteren in de dagdagelijkse werking en verliezen de (middel)lange termijn visie uit het oog.

We wrapped up Day 2 with some hands-on fun:

🔍 Spotted flaws in vague prereg items
🧐 Reviewed my working paper for prereg slip-ups (yes, that was a bit selfish 🙃)—a great way to learn how to review prereg’d work!
📄 Explored both the default & qualitative @OSFramework templates together.

Advice on how to be a good reviewer of preregistered research based on Simmons et al. (2021)
